Johnny Fray
A courageous young police officer who resigned from the police force without explanation after losing his nerve in a gun battle in which, although wounded, he nevertheless single-handedly apprehended three gunmen. Fray ultimately recovers his self-confidence thanks to a heroic helping hand from Superman (S No.37/1, Nov/Dec 1945: "The Dangerous Dream!").
