The Three Musketeers
A trio of swashbuckling swordsmen—melancholy Athos, gigantic Porthos, and quick-witted Aramis—who, with their comrade D'Artagnan, play central roles in a series of famous historical romances by the French novelist Alexandre Dumas (1802-1870).
In May-June 1956 Batman, Robin, and Superman journey through the time barrier to France in the year 1696, during the reign of Louis XIV (1638-1715), where they encounter D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers and help bring about the downfall of the king's "evil chancellor" Bourdet (WF No. 82: "The Three Super-Musketeers!").
