Please see revision notes. We don't link every character in every story and create entries for them - especially when they are well-explained in the initial entry. If Uncle Jake occured in other stories, probably deserves a new entry. Most Superman stories have numerous one-time characters as well as places etc., they are often best described in the original entry. --MatterEaterLad 00:54, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Here are a couple of examples. If "John Doe destroys Building X" we don't need another entry for Building X that say "building destroyed by John Doe". Jimmy Olsen took on a number of identities - men, women, monsters. Those are better under Jimmy Olsen than all as separate entries. One story can contain many minor characters, they work better for balance as an encyclopedia if described in one entry rather than numerous entries that say the same thing. Otherwise, one-time stories get too many entries that say nothing new. Total number of entries isn't the only goal. --MatterEaterLad 01:14, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
