The “gambling czar of Metropolis” and the unscrupulous owner-manager of the Tigers, a team of dirty football players who are rated as underdogs in their upcoming game with the Bearcats. When, as the result of Ducey’s scheming, the Bearcats are too ill to don their uniforms on the day of the scheduled game, it appears that the Tigers will win by default until Superman and feisty Little Red Rollins, the younger brother of the Bearcats’ star player, take the field alone to vanquish the Tigers and hand Ducey a stunning defeat along with the gambling losses he will suffer for having bet a small fortune on the Tigers (Act No. 128, Jan 1949: “The Adventure of Little Red!”) (TGSB).
