A husband-and-wife team of midget actors who are the stars of "The Super-Rescue of Lois Lane, Girl Reporter", an old-fashioned theatrical melodrama in which Tom, clad in a Superman costume and calling himself Super-Midget, dramatically rescues Tina, playing the part of Lois Lane from the clutches of the evil Goliath the Giant. When Tom temporarily grows to full adult size because of an accident inadvertently caused by Superman, thus preventing Tom from performing opposite his tiny wife in their upcoming performance, Superman summons his infant self from the past to play Super-Midget in Tom’s stead, and later apprehends Goliath’s unscrupulous press agent, Joe Trent, when he tries to murder Tom in a twisted effort to win fame and fortune for his client (S No. 115/1, Aug 1957: “The Midget Superman”).
