Nick Norton
A Metropolis racketeer --free on bail pending his trial, along with two other gangsters, on criminal conspiracy charges-- who murders the wife of George Lash, the city's tough, incorruptible prosecuting attorney, and frames Lash for the crime in the hope that Lash will be unable to prosecute him and his cronies while fighting to clear himself of the murder charge. Norton is exposed and apprehended by Superman in November-December 1940 (S No.7/1).
