A caveman inventor, scoffingly called "the dreamer" by his tribesmen because of his visionary ideas, who makes the acquaintance of Clark Kent and Lois Lane in June 1952 after their private plane has been forced to crash-land on the floor of an uncharted valley, situated somewhere "across a giant range of mountains on the other side of the world", which has been "isolated from the rest of the world for millions of years" and where dinosaurs, pterodactyls, and primitive cavemen still live just as they did during Earth’s prehistoric past. Ultimately, Superman rescues Lois and carries her back to civilization, but not before the brilliant Lars has demonstrated his miraculous skills as a thinker and inventor by inventing the wheel, the bow and arrow, a method for producing fire, and a bone meal made from ground dinosaur bones for fertilizing the local plant life (Act No. 169: "Caveman Clark Kent!").
