A green-skinned alien from the far-distant planet Belvos who, having discovered that certain gems available on Earth could endow him with extraordinary powers, concocts an elaborate scheme to impersonate Superman and frame him for a series of crimes on the planet Belvos so that, while Superman is busy defending himself in the courtroom, he can stage a spectacular gem theft on Earth as a prelude to seizing dictatorial power on his native planet. The scheme is thwarted and Klor apprehended through the heroic efforts of Batman, Robin, and Superman (WF No. 122, Dec 1961: "The Capture of Superman!"). (TGSB)
