Eldredge Coram
An unscrupulous young man who is one of the two adopted sons of multimillionaire Merton Coram. Knowing that the elder Coram's life expectancy is short, Eldredge embarks on an elaborate scheme to persuade his father that his other adopted son, Eldredge's brother William, is secretly Superman, calculating that Coram will change his will to eliminate William if he comes to believe that William is Superman and therefore has no need of money. This plot to deprive William Coram of his rightful inheritance is thwarted by Superman in May 1958 (S No. 121/2: "The Great Superman Swindle"). (TGSB)
