Don Hawks
Noted physicist Don Hawks is also a "Navarro" Indian named "Red Hawk". When Hawks becomes concerned that the land of Montezuma (the Aztec "superman") is being spoiled by rocket testing, he uses magical sand to capture and hold hostage Superman. While his fears are misguided, it is later revealed that a criminal developer is secretly planning to exploit the site because it contains the lost buried treasure of the Aztecs. When the Man of Tomorrow exposes the villainy, the value of the uncovered treasure becomes useful in insuring the welfare of Hawks' Navarro brethren (Act No. 402, Jul 1971: "This Hostage Must Die!").
