Batgirl
A costumed crime-fighter and valued ally of Batman and Robin, the Dynamic Duo (first appearance: Detective Comics No. 359, Jan 1967: "The Million Dollar Debut of Batgirl!"). Batgirl is secretly Barbara Gordon, daughter of Gotham City Police Commissioner James W. Gordon. Supergirl is a close friend of Batgirl. Batgirl should not be confused with Bat-Girl (Betty Kane), the niece of Batwoman.
