Johnny Webber, Smallville High's resident class clown, briefly assumed the costumed super-villian identity of Dyna-Mind when he is exposed to the strange radiations of a meteor shower. As Dyna-Mind, Webber possesses a wide range of psycho-kinetic powers, as well as vastly increased intelligence, and he briefly be-devils Superboy (NSB No. 42, June 1983: "A Blast of Dyna-Mind!"; NSB No. 43, July 1983: "The Forty-Hour Wonder!"; NSB No. 44, Aug 1983: "The Traps that are my Mind!")

Shortly after his time as Dyna-Mind, and after he is released from juvenile detention for his crimes, Webber, who still possesses his Dyna-Mind powers, secretly aids Superboy and Zatara in their battle with Turlock the Berzerker during one of Zatara's so-called "Magical Mystery Tour" stage shows in Smallville. The use of his powers against Turlock, seemingly removes his mental abilities for good (NSB No. 49, Jan 1984: "Zatara's Magical Mystery Tour!").
