Queen Lura

The lovely blond ruler of Mistri-Lor who, surrounded by a plethora of "handsome muscular men" in her exotic "lost civilization," falls instantly in love with mild-mannered Clark Kent when he arrives there after a long journey by balloon--accompanied by Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane--in March 1963. Narrowly avoiding marriage to the love-struck queen in his Clark Kent identity, Superman remains in Mistri-Lor long enough to thwart a series of attempts by the ruthless Prince Vikar, "the most powerful prince in the realm," to assassinate the queen and, as next in line to her throne, establish his dominion over her kingdom (Act No. 298: "Clark Kent, Coward!").
