A rare element. Alerted by Jor-El of the impending doom, the scientist Zol-Zu of Krypton sends his son Zar-Al in a time ship to Earth, to bring back zeelium, which would “prevent the uranium core of Kryptom from exploding.” Superboy helps him try to find the needed element, but to no avail. Zar-al later claims he found some “hidden under deep layers of ocean ooze,” but it was only a ruse to avoid Superboy from keeping him from returning back to Krypton and “stand by his father’s side when the end came” (Adv No. 242, Nov 1957: “The Kid from Krypton”).
