Vivanium is an ultra-rare element that can power a machine that gives super-powers. Luther makes a vivanium machine and [[Lois Laned] tries it on herself and gets super-powers for 8 hours. After destroying the machine, Superman burns the last of the vivanium that existed on Earth.
