The name that Tom Thumb originally (see: Tom and Tina Thumb) takes in an old-fashioned theatrical melodrama entitled The Super-Rescue of Lois Lane, Girl Reporter. When an accident prohibits Tom from playing the role, it is Superbaby summon by Superman from the past who steps in to play the part of Super-Midget, who later apprehends Joe Trent, when he tries to murder Tom in a twisted effort to win fame and fortune for his client (S No. 115, Aug 1957: “The Midget Superman!â€).
