Jane Cartright

The niece of famed millionaire explorer Allen Cartright, and the fiancée of Harold Denton, Cartright’s secretary. When Cartright is found murdered in Spring 1943, Denton is arrested, convicted, and sentenced to the electric chair for the crime, but Superman, racing against the clock to prevent Denton’s execution, successfully establishes that Jane Cartright murdered her uncle in hopes of inheriting his millions and takes the murderess into custody (WF No. 9: “One Second to Live!”).
