The gossip columnist for the Daily Planet and celebrity and gossip reporter for WGBS-TV whose show follows the evening news broadcast featuring Clark Kent.
Lola is the "gossip queen" of Metropolis who acknowledges to her colleagues that "giving away secrets is my bread and butter" (S No. 285/1, Mar 1975: "Search for the Impossible Man").
Clark first encounters Lola in May 1974 when she purports to reveal Superman's secret identity (S No. 275/1: "The Dragonfly Invasion of Metropolis!").
