Vril Dox
Brave humanoid of Colu who is taken from his people by evil computer tyrants to be the adopted "son" of the powerful and super-intelligent android Brainiac. While Brainiac is carrying out a mission of galactic conquest (often opposed by Superman), Vril Dox increases his natural intelligence to a level beyond the computerized overlords and leads a revolution to re-take his homeworld (recounted in S No. 167, Feb 1964: "The Team of Luthor and Brainiac!").
Vril Dox is the ancestor to Brainiac 5 of the Legion of Super-Heroes.
