The lad, who with one magic word "SHAZAM" turned into "The World's Mightest Mortal" of Earth-S, Captain Marvel. Billy was granted this unique transformative power which was conferred on him by the wizened wizard, Shazam (first appearance: Whiz Comics No. 2, Feb 1940: "Introducing Captain Marvel").
Billy works at radio station WHIZ.
