DNA Project (Project Cadmus)

A highly technical secret research project involving the manipulation of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). The offspring of the original Newsboy Legion are discovered by Jimmy Olsen and Superman to have a link to the DNA Project because it is run by their fathers. Among many shocking experiments, the project is responsible for the cloning of the original Guardian (Jim Harper) as the Golden Guardian, and Morgan Edge II. The Newsboy Legion and the Golden Guardian share many adventures with Jimmy Olsen as well as encountering the weird creations of the DNA project and being intertwined in the doings of Intergang and Darkseid (early appearances include SPJO No. 133, Oct 1970: "Jimmy Olsen, Superman's 'Ex' Pal...Brings Back the Newsboy Legion!"; SPJO No. 135, Jan 1971: "Evil Factory!").
