Zha-Vam was one of most powerful opponents that [[Superman]] ever faced. The [[Oracle of Delphi]] showed the mighty gods [[Zeus]], [[Hercules]], [[Achilles]], [[Vulcan]], [[Apollo]], and [[Mercury]] that due to Superman's super-feats the gods would be forgotten in the far future and the people of Earth would worship Superman instead. So the gods decided to create a mighty and powerful titan named Zha-Vam to be their champion to defeat and humiliate Superman. Zha-Vam's name was made from the first letters of the six Olympian gods who gave him their powers: Zeus, Hercules, Achilles, Vulcan, Apollo, and Mercury. They gave him a magic belt with which he could channel their powers by pressing the letter of their name on the belt. They also gave him a [[Kryptonite]] sock. He fought Superman and won, as all of Superman's powers were not enough to defeat Zha-Vam, and the [[Man of Steel]] soon found out the source of Zha-Vam's powers.  In order to even the odds, teamed-up with the gods [[Prometheus]], [[Pluto]], [[Achilles]], [[Neptune]], and [[Atlas]], who gave Superman a magic belt of his own to use against Zha-Vam and Superman was finally able to defeat Zha-Vam.
