Ron-Avon
A teenager from the planet Belgor, a world where all citizens are trained to be aggressive war-lovers. Armed with "power gauntlets", Ron-Avon is blackmailed by threat to his parents' life into challenging Superboy to a duel consisting of four competitions. Ron-Avon is beaten by Superboy and sentenced to death by being dropped into a "crystal urn of death". He is saved by the protective properties of Superboy's cape, and together with Superboy, he manages to defeat the violent dictators ("The Guardians") of the planet.
