Private Jones. A solider G.I. based at Camp Metropolis, who temporarily gains carbon copy powers of Superman. While testing a new helmet radio for scientists, Superman is struck in the head by a stray lightning bolt that results in a an electrical pattern duplicating Superman and his powers being 'broadcast' into the body of Private Jones. Jones soon quickly becomes aware of his new abilities while doing his usual military tasks. However, only after fooling a pair of foreign spies into thinking Superman is creating 'super soldiers' from the American army, does Superman remove the unsuspecting Jones' powers with rays of Kryptonite. With his newfound powers now gone, Jones is forced to cope with normalacy as he goes about his usual military duties. (S No. 122, June 1958, "The Super-Sergeant").
