Super-Squirrel

Super-Squirrel is a sentient squirrel superhero, who lives on the parallel Earth known as Earth-C-Minus, a world populated by anthropomorphic animals and reflects characters and events on Earth-1. Super-Squirrel is Earth-C-Minus' counterpart of Superman.

Similar to Superman, Super-Squirrel comes from an alien world (Chipton - the equivalent in his universe to Krypton), and lives (presumably in a secret identity) on Earth in the city of Muttropolis (his world's version of Metropolis). He is also the leader of the Just'a Lotta Animals (or "JLA" for short), his world's main superhero team (a counterpart of the Justice League of America).

Super-Squirrel's chief nemesis is Lex Lemur (Earth-C-Minus' Lex Luthor; a lemur). Super-Squirrel also keeps some of his enemies (presumably Chiptonian criminals) in the Elephantom Zone (a counterpart of the Phantom Zone). (Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew No. 14, Apr 1983: "Crisis on Earth-C!"; Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew No. 15, May 1983: "Crisis on Earth-C-Minus!")

On Earth-C, Super-Squirrel is considered a fictional character published by that world's DC Comics; additionally, his comic exploits in the comic title Just'a Lotta Animals are drawn by Captain Carrot, who in his civilian identity is a cartoonist.

In April 1983, Super-Squirrel and the rest of the JLA are transported to Earth-C by the JLA's nemesis, Feline Faust (Earth-C-Minus' version of Felix Faust; a cat). Seeking help in returning to their own Earth, Super-Squirrel and the JLA eventually find and team up with the Zoo Crew to defeat Faust, as well as Faust's companions, Earth-C-Minus' Shaggy Dawg (a counterpart of Earth-1's Shaggy Man; a dog) and Amazoo (a counterpart of Earth-1's Amazo; an android composite of a dozen different animals), and Earth-C's Dr. Hoot, a Zoo Crew foe. (Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew No. 14, Apr 1983: "Crisis on Earth-C!"; Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew No. 15, May 1983: "Crisis on Earth-C-Minus!")

Unlike Superman, Super-Squirrel can come across as somewhat pompous and egotistical. During the teamup with the Zoo Crew, Super-Squirrel expresses jealousy over the attraction between Captain Carrot and Super-Squirrel's JLA teammate Wonder Wabbit (Earth-C-Minus' Wonder Woman; a rabbit).

Super-Squirrel possesses many of the same powers as Superman, including flight, super-strength, super-speed, various forms of super-vision (x-ray, telescopic, microscopic, and heat), and invulnerability. Super-Squirrel's weaknesses include magic and Chiptonite (Earth-C-Minus' version of Kryptonite).
