Al Capone

A United States gangster and murderer who rose through the ranks of the underworld to become the undisputed crime czar of Prohibition-era Chicago. Convicted of income tax evasion in 1031, he spent eight years in Federal prisons and died eight years following his release, at Palm Island, Florida, in 1947.

Superman meets Al Capone, and even infiltrates his mob for a time by posing as a safecracker, during a time-journey to Chicago in the 1920’s, when "Al Capone was the king of crime and ran all rackets!" (S No. 142/2, Jan 1961: "Superman Meets Al Capone"). (TGSB)
