P.T. Barnum
A U.S. circus proprietor and impresario, undoubtedly the greatest showman of his day, who is famous for his exaggerated publicity claims and for his statement "There's a sucker born every minute." Superman met P.T. Barnum, who offered the Man of Steel a job as a circus strong man, during a time-journey to the year 1878 (Act No. 132, May 1949: "The Secret of the Kents!").
