Armed with weapons from Apokolips, Intergang is alternately lead by Ugly Mannheim and by the clone of publisher Morgan Edge known as Morgan Edge II (SPJO No. 133, Oct 1970: "The Newsboy Legion").

Jimmy Olsen, Goody Rickles, and the Golden Guardian are responsible for foiling several Intergang plots (SPJO No. 139: "The Guardian Fights Again"; and SPJO No. 141, Sep 1971: "Will the Real Don Rickles Panic?").
