A beautiful blonde movie star—spoiled, pampered, and egotistical—who visited the Pacific to entertain U.S. troops there, not out of genuine patriotism but as a gaudy publicity stunt, only to be transformed into a gung-ho patriot and a finer human being after she and her fellow performers had been taken prisoner by Japanese soldiers and rescued by Superman.
