"Four of the most infamous thieves in the universe," a ruthless quartet of "interplanetary thieves" who, in an attempt to wreak vengeance on Superman for a past defeat, trick Superman into pursuing them into a solar system characterized by a red sun, where he has no super-powers and is therefore as vulnerable to harm as any ordinary mortal. Stranded for a time on the red sun's only planet (see Thorones), Superman ultimately escapes the diabolical "red-suntrap" and apprehends the Four Galactic Thiefmasters in February 1965 (Act No. 321: "Superman--Weakest Man in the World!").
