A psychiatrist originally concerned with helping the "split personality" of Rose and the Thorn (SGLL No. 127, Oct 1972: "The Sea Devil!"). Roberts later gives Rose a necklace that calms her Thorn identity, but when Superman takes possession of the item, it has an opposite effect, making him highly aggressive - a disadvantage when a dangerous criminal gang strikes Metropolis (S No. 336, Jun 1979: "A Rose by Any Other Name!").
