Boss Biggins
A Metropolis racketeer with a grudge against Superman who attempts to capitalize on the early broadcasts of the Superman radio show, "The Adventures of Superman," by staging a series of spectacular robberies—including the theft of a pay-carload of nickel fares collected from the city’s subway stations—at the very times when Superman would be busily engaged in broadcasting live accounts of his past adventures from the radio station atop the Daily Planet Building. Superman ultimately apprehends Boss Biggins and his henchmen, however, by tying a portable microphone around his neck and broadcasting his pursuit and capture of the Biggins mob, live, to a spellbound radio audience (S No. 39/1, Mar/Apr 1946: "The Big Superman Broadcast!").
