A nephew of UBC president Samuel Tanner, Vegas becomes an overnight star with his impressions of former U.S. President Gerald Ford and his hosting of the Evening News Update, a fake-news skit.
In September 1977, Vegas is temporarily transformed into the villain Blackrock and assumes the identity of Clark Kent (S No. 315: "Good Evening Superman --I'm Clark Kent ... and You're Not!").
