A renegade scientist of the 30th Century C.E. who escapes from his imprisonment on the Moon with a gang of other convicts. Drago attempts to devastate and conquer the world, only to be defeated and apprehended by Superman, whose presence in the future era is the result of his exposure in August 1956 to the radiation of a defective atomic pile, which causes him to lapse into a sleeplike coma from which he only awakens approximately 1,000 years later in the year 2956 C.E. With Drago and his henchmen in custody, Superman returns to his own time via a time machine (S No. 107/3: "Rip Van Superman!"). (TGSB)
