Apokolips
The home of Darkseid. A massive planet, "unimaginable light-years" from Earth, first encountered by Clark Kent in July 1971 (SPJO No. 139: "The Guardian Fights Again"). Its surface is covered with "massive fire-pits" that "give power to a world of horror" (SPJO No. 141, Sep 1971: "Will the Real Don Rickles Panic?").
Apokolips has an authoritarian government under the control of the dark god Darkseid. It is the physical and ideological opposite of its "sister" planet, New Genesis.
