Little Africa

Little Africa is "Metropolis' black community," a part of the city that is ethnically and culturally African-American. Residents of the area tend to be poor, live in substandard conditions, and are often treated unfairly. As a result, they are very suspicious of suburban whites, as Lois Lane finds out when she first visits the community seeking interviews (SGLL No. 106, Nov 1970: "I am Curious (Black)!").
