Professor Hunter
The inventor of a powerful "new anaesthetic gas" being sought by the evil Baron Munsdorf. Prof. Hunter is also the inventor of the "deadly aub-atomic death-ray gun" with which the treacherous baron "unleashes a bolt of incredible voltage" at Superman in December 1940 (Act No. 31).
