Superboy and Strongman

Strongman

One of many brief aliases that Jonathan Kent employs over the years. Jonathan assumes the identity of Strongman when he temporarily gains superpowers from a rod that Superboy brings to Earth from an alien world, and, as Strongman, assists Superboy. Unfortunately, he lacks good judgment in using his powers, which forces Superboy to cover for his father's mistakes and help protect his secret identity. Eventually, Jonathan's powers wear off, forcing him to happily give up his Strongman identity (Adv No. 236, May 1957: "Clark Kent's Super-Dad").
