I created this because while working on the "Superman III" articles, I thought there should be a good way to access all the versions of Superman.  Any thoughts yes or no?  I'm willing to clean it out if any objections.  A'dam'mkent 3272 18:28, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

I also wanted to create another new category, "Descendants of Superman", which could have some overlap with "Heroes Named Superman."  But there are descendants who aren't named "Superman" and there are "Supermen" who aren't descendants.  The "Descendants of Superman" category would have the Superman Jr.s and Superman IIIs and Laurel Kent - anyone from any universe who is descended from Superman Prime.  Figured I'd wait until hearing about "Heroes Named Superman" before I created "Descendants of Superman." -- A'dam'mkent 3272 18:46, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

I like category "Heroes named Superman" better than "Descendants". It seems that descendants could then lead to ancestors and then relatives and pretty soon, it gets pretty broad. I would like a discussion on the SF forums about all categories. Some might be a little lame. I wanted to add a "Devices and Technology" category for cool ray guns, vehicles, inventions and such but I am leary about new categories. If someone adds Cities, someone else adds States or Nations and so on. The problem I have with more categories is trying to remember them all when doing entries. People remember Aliens but forget Kryptonians or wonder if an Animal from Krypton is also a Kryptonian or if that means humanoids only, etc. I've also thought the Criminal/Villain distinction is way too fine. --MatterEaterLad 21:20, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Maybe all the baddies should be placed in a "Criminals and Villains" category? Personally, I like the "Heroes Named Superman" category but "Relatives of Superman" seems more useful than just "Descendants".--DrJohnnyDiablo 00:03, 22 September 2008

I created this because while working on the "Superman III" articles, I thought there should be a good way to access all the versions of Superman. Any thoughts yes or no? I'm willing to clean it out if any objections. -- A'dam'mkent 3272 18:28, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
