Fred Willis
A biologist working on a formula for super-accelerated growth who dies during a cataclysmic volcanic explosion. His toddler son accidentally ingests the growth chemicals and swells to titanic size. When Willis's son threatens Smallville, Superboy is forced to construct a giant robotic replica of himself to placate the giant until a cure can be devised. The boy is later adopted by Mayor George Dean (SB No. 30/1, Jan 1954: "The Giant Who Came to Smallville!").
