A lonely youngster—the son of "famous jewel expert" Amos Parrish—who becomes convinced that his hero Superman is nothing but a common thief when a local farmhand impersonates the Man of Steel in order to steal a fortune in diamonds from the Parrish family safe. Superman apprehends the thieving farmhand and restores young Arthur's faith in him in December 1947 (Act No. 115: "The Wish That Came True!").
