Benny Call
The president of the Ace Publishing Co., who contracts to publish Superman's autobiography in January-February 1947, with Superman's share of the proceeds to be donated to charity, only to reject Superman's 125,000-word manuscript soon afterward in the honest belief that the super-author's descriptions of his own powers are grossly exaggerated. After Superman has used his mighty powers to dispel all of Call's doubts, however, the autobiography is published under the title The Confessions of Superman (WF No. 26: "The Confessions of Superman!").
