Professor of music at Central University, and a musical agent and rock-and-roll promoter, Cy Horkin actually has more nefarious plans. He uses a diabolical electronic brain to transmit subliminal commands to teens listening to lyrics at rock concerts that he is sponsoring. Superman, who as Clark Kent has just been transferred by Morgan Edge from the Daily Planet to WGBS, is able to uncover Horkin's plot and stop his plan before it gets too out of hand--ironically a "destroy, destroy, destroy" subliminal message results in the destruction of the electronic brain (Act No. 398/1, Mar 1971: "The Pied Piper of Steel!").
