A wily swindler who, in January-February 1957, attempts to capitalize on a joint appearance by Batman, Robin, and Superman at Gotham City's spectacular Gotham Police Show, the proceeds from which are to be donated to the Police Welfare Fund. In order to attract large crowds to the show and thereby aid the cause of charity, Batman Robin, and Superman have agreed to perform a series of dramatic reenactments of their most exciting cases, and Superman chisels a huge ampitheater out of a solid rock cliff in order to accommodate the overflow crowds expected to attend. Swindler Bartle hatches a scheme to capture the dramatic reenactments on movie film and then cash in on the film by presenting it in theaters throughout the country as actual footage of the three heroes in action against dangerous criminals. The three famed lawmen thwart Bartle's scheme, however, and see to it that their awe-inspiring feats of skill create a financial windfall only for the Police Welfare Fund, and not for the crafty Bartle (WF No. 86: "The Super-Show of Gotham City").
