Lois Lane observes life in Little Africa. Art by Werner Roth and Vince Colletta.

Little Africa is "Metropolis' black community," a part of the city that is ethnically and culturally African-American. Residents of the area tend to be poor, live in substandard conditions, and are often treated unfairly. As a result, they are very suspicious of suburban whites, as Lois Lane found out when she first visited the community seeking interviews. (SGLL No. 106, Nov. 1970: "I am curious (black)!")

Little Africa is the home of Dave Stevens.
