A fugitive criminal, hiding from Superman somewhere in Metropolis's waterfront district, who attempts to prevent Superman from using his X-ray vision to pinpoint his exact location of his hideout by planting explosive devices in nearby houses that are wired to explode when touched by the heat genarated by Superman's X-ray vision. However, with the aid of special goggles that absorb the heat of his X-ray vison without impairing his customary ability to see through solid objects, Superman locates Anson's hideaway and takes him into custody (S No. 100/1, Sep 1955: "The Toy Superman Contest").
