Orson Welles
Orson Welles, a well known film and radio personality is filming "Black Magic" playing the magician Cagliostro, when he is captured by Martians. Welles escapes the Hitler-esque Martian dictator, Martler, but when he attempts to broadcast a warning no one on Earth will believe him because of his famous adaptation of H.G. Wells' "War of the Worlds" broadcast—except Superman!!! (S No. 62/1, Jan/Feb 1950: "Black Magic on Mars"). (TGSB)
