A teenager from the planet [[Belgor]], a world where all citizens are trained to be aggressive war-lovers.  Armed with "power gauntlets", Ron-Avon is blackmailed by threat to his parents' life into challenging [[Superboy]] to a duel consisting of four competitions. Ron-Avon is beaten by Superboy and sentenced to death by being dropped into a "crystal urn of death".  He is saved by the protective properties of Superboy's cape, and together with Superboy, he manages to defeat the violent dictators ("The Guardians") of the planet(SB No. 141/1, Sep 1967: "No Mercy for a Hero!")
