A teenager from the planet [[Belgor]], a world where all citizens are trained to be aggressive war-lovers.  Armed with "power gauntlets", Ron-Avon is blackmailed by threat to his parents' life into challenging [[Superboy]] to a duel. He is defeated and sentenced to death by being dropped into a "crystal urn of death".  He is saved by the protective properties of Superboy's cape, and together with Superboy, he manages to defeat the war-like faction of the planet(SB No 149/1 Sept 1967: "No Mercy for a Hero!")
