A Kryptonian scientist who investigates the powers of transformation and turns himself into a were-beast. After killing his wife, he is banished to the [[Phantom Zone]]. Lar-On

A Kryptonian scientist who investigates the powers of transformation and turns himself into a were-beast. After killing his wife, he is banished to the Phantom Zone. Many years later, he is accidentally released by an Earth scientist and Superman only manages to defeat him by luring him into daylight. With his beast powers gone, Superman and Batman are able to return him to the Zone, but not before he has passed his affliction on to others (WF No. 256, Apr/May 1979: "The Werewolf from Krypton!"; WF No. 258, Aug/Sep 1979: "The Curse of Krypton!").
